Faith In Action

At Lutheran South, 530 young men and women live their lives to give glory to God as they grow and learn in their four years of high school. So how do these students see their "Faith in Action"?

Here are some of their comments:

"Christ is at the center of everything we do at Lutheran South -- from academics to athletics to small group worship to our friendships. It's not that our school is perfect -- no school can claim that. But we do know we have God's perfect forgiveness and that makes getting through the high school years much easier!"

"At South, you can find many ways to grow in your faith and share your faith with others. The faculty and staff are there for you, too. If you've got a problem, they'll not only talk with you -- they'll pray with you."

"Serving God is really part of every day at South. All of us need a helping hand once in a while whether it's with homework, a project, or just when we're having a bad day. But students at South also serve in many other ways. You may find us volunteering at a daycare center, working a blood drive, organizing a food collection, or walking to raise money for a charity. It's a part of who we are -- as teens growing in Christ."

"I can't imagine trying to get through high school without God in my life. At South, we have opportunities every day to grow in our faith -- it might be a message in chapel that really makes me think, or someone we pray for in small group that helps me remember that God is in control. It might be something I learn in a theology class, or a story from one of my teachers. And when I face challenges and obstacles, I know I have people I can turn to that will help me look at everything from God's point of view."
